DR PRAMOD NARKHEDE recently performed a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) procedure with the guidance and proctorship of senior interventional cardiologist Dr. Haresh Mehta.
The procedure was successfully carried out using the VitaFlow Liberty TAVR System in a 75-year-old patient suffering from advanced heart disease — including Heart Failure, Severe Left Ventricular Dysfunction, and critical calcific Aortic Stenosis. The patient had presented in Pulmonary Edema and Cardiogenic Shock, making the situation extremely high risk.
Despite the complexity of the clinical scenario, the TAVI procedure was performed successfully, leading to rapid hemodynamic improvement and stabilization of the patient.
TAVI continues to transform the treatment landscape for patients who are at high or prohibitive risk for conventional open-heart surgery, offering a minimally invasive solution with faster recovery and improved outcomes.
