Healthy diet for high uric acid (Hyperuricemia)

  1. Drink 2.5-3 litres water/day
  2. Eat more vegetables (lauki,tori,gajar,cucumber,pumpkin)
  3. Include low-purine fruits (apple,papaya,pear,orange)
  4. Choose whole grains (jowar,bajra,oats,brown rice)
  5. Prefer low-fat milk/curd
  6. Eat nuts & seeds in moderation
  7. Use lemon,vitamin C rich foods
  8. Cook in limited oil (groundnut/olive oil)
Avoid/limit
  1. Red meat,organ meat,seafood
  2. Alcohol (especially beer)
  3. Sugary drinks,packaged juices
  4. Excess pulses,mushrooms,spinach,cauliflower
  5. Fried & junk foods
