Diet tips for summer

1. Stay well hydrated
  • Drink 2.5-3 liters water daily
  • Include ( coconut water,buttermilk,lemon water,infused water (mint+cucumber)
Avoid excessive tea,coffee and sugary soft drinks

2. Eat seasonal fruits
  • Watermelon
  • Muskmelon
  • Cucumber
  • Orange
  • Papaya
  • Pomegranate
Rich in Vitamins,antioxidants & prevent dehydration

3. Prefer light & easy to digest meals
  • Eat small frequent meals
  • Include
  1. Dal + rice
  2. Curd rice
  3. Vegetable khichdi
  4. Chapati + light sabzi
  • Avoid very oily,fried & spicy foods
4. Include cooling foods
  • Curd & buttermilk
  • Sabja seeds
  • Soaked chia seeds
  • Mint
  • Lauki
  • Tinda & torai
5. Maintain electrolyte
  • Add a pinch of salt + sugar in lemon water if sweating a lot.
  • ORS during extreme heat if needed.
6. Avoid
  • Street food
  • Excess spicy food
  • Carbonated sugary drinks
  • Heavy gravies
